Extraction

Over the last years, we have gained experience with hexane-extraction, both as batch- and as continuous process. Continuous extraction processes have a minimum capacity of 10 metric tonnes of seeds per day. Depending on the kind of extraction process, the seed is pre-processed.

• Seed cleaning
• Crushing
• Pelletization

In principle, extraction processes with CO2 are also possible but up to now, no experiences have been gained.
Depending on the demends of buyers, the oil is filtered, its gum extracted, and/or bleached.
The resulting oil is stored under nitrogen in barrels, and subsequently transported to the port of destination.
